Dear Neighbor, 

Like you, I care about the future of our children, and the reason that I am running for re-election on the DeSotoISD School Board can be summed up in three words – five thousand kids. Our schools are at a crossroads, and our school board is in a position to determine what direction we take. We can do right by our kids by putting people on the board who will ask the tough, even pointed questions when necessary.

I have a unique position among fellow candidates as someone who believes deeply in the power of a great public education and understands the perspectives of a parent, a taxpayer, and an educator. I have what it takes to help move DeSotoISD forward and effect the change our children need to succeed.

I promise to:

• Ensure every vote I cast will be carefully considered and will reflect the best interest of students, teachers and the citizens of DeSoto 
• Listen and respect all students, families and community members
• Diligently research each issue brought before the Board of Trustees
• Continuously communicate the financial spending of our tax dollars, ensuring the best outcomes for all stakeholders
• Make sure more dollars go directly toward teaching and learning in the classroom
• Advocate to make sure every child has the opportunity to learn and grow in a high-performing school with teachers and leaders who can change their lives

I have a genuine passion for children, learning and community leadership. I’m Fired Up to put my education, professional background and ideas to work!
